Brodey and Anna met in Bellingham, WA in 2018. Brodey had just moved half-way across the country from Oklahoma. Anna was in the midst of her sophomore year of college. Both decided to hop on “the apps” to meet some new people.

They met… and decided they should just be friends.

And friends they were. For a few years they maintained that relationship and in 2020 both were in need of new roommates. What a perfect opportunity!

After rooming together in a new apartment for less than a month, they began dating and have been inseparable since. The core of their relationship has always been that they are one another’s best friends.

Whether through the long hours of overtime or school work, they have always supported one another. Once Anna had earned her Bachelor of Science, an opportunity came to seek her Master’s degree in Oregon. A bit of deliberation later and they were packing up their things (and their beloved disgruntled cat Eva) and moving south to Eugene, Oregon.

Eugene living was a scramble of odd jobs and long hours for the both of them, but in no time school was done; Anna had achieved her Master’s degree and nailed down a gig in the Portland area.

Once they had settled down in the new area AGAIN and had their second child (a new little kitty named Majima), the two began to think more of their future.

On May 26th, 2024 they took a hike through the Portland Arboretum; and with a reforged ring passed down to Anna from her grandmother Bobbi, Brodey took the knee and asked Anna to spend the rest of their lives together.
